The Special Response Team (S.R.T.) is the tactical element of the Kentville Police Service. We are responsible for executing warrants in high risk situations, the apprehension of high risk fugitives and respond to any incident that poses a substantial threat to the public and officer safety.

Members of the Special Response Team (S.R.T.) are Law Enforcement Officers that have received special tactical training to insure the safest resolution to any and all incidents.

These Law Enforcement Officers are trained and continually updated on advanced weapons techniques, building search procedures, warrant and arrest techniques, hostage negotiations and search and rescue procedures.

All the training and education is in addition to the Law Enforcement Officers' normal working schedule.

Training is conducted at various times of day and in all weather conditions.
