G.I.S., or the (General Investigation Section) is made up of one full time officer who is responsible for investigating various different major crimes within the Town of Kentville, These include:

Theft
Fraud
Vehicle Theft
Theft from vehicles
Arson
Sexual assault
Crimes of Violence
Homicide
Criminal Intelligence Services Nova Scotia (CISNS)
The Kentville Police Service is proud to partner with Criminal Intelligence Service Nova Scotia (CISNS) and the Province of Nova Scotia as host agency for two local criminal intelligence officers. These members, RCMP and KPS provide intelligence services to law enforcement agencies in the Valley-Western Shore region of Nova Scotia. CISNS is a member of the national network of Criminal Intelligence bureaus. One service they provide is an annual public report on organized and serious crime in Nova Scotia. View it here.
